Play Pause Rewind Shuffle
WS – SUPSI Bachelor of Arts SUPSI in Visual communication.

Play, pause, rewind, shuffle is a creative coding week workshop held by Leonardo Angelucci and Desirée Veschetti with the third-year students at the Bachelor of Arts in Visual communication at SUPSI. The project focuses on experimenting with contemporary technologies such as machine learning through targeted tools (ml5, posNet, Javascript, p5js, Arduino). The students picked a deconstructible subject, which would allow it to be shown in its entirety, in its individual components, and then to be broken down, rearranged and consulted through atypical but subject-related interactions. All students proposed an original treatment of their topic (a newspaper, a text, a video, a map, a track) and created a web platform. Each in its own way, these pages explore a way of navigating without conventional tools.
